Questions, answered.
Yes. The full Mind Space — thought capture, Zones, Threads, Focus mode, memory files — is free to use, with no account required. Paid tiers unlock AI features and the companion apps (Thought Stream, To-Do Bubble, and more) when they launch.
Not for the core Mind Space. Your thoughts stay on your device and can be saved as encrypted memory files you control. An account is only needed later, once Connect Space launches or you opt into paid AI features.
In your browser, by default. You can export a .mhisper memory file encrypted with a passkey only you know — think of it as a save file you own. There's no cloud sync on the free tier.
The memory file is unrecoverable. The passkey never leaves your browser, so there's no way for us (or anyone) to restore it. This is intentional — your memory is yours. Choose a passkey you'll remember, and consider saving a backup memory file somewhere you trust.
Zones are regions of your mind — Voronoi-tiled territories that hold related thoughts (Work, Personal, Dreams, etc.). A bubble can belong to more than one Zone. Threads are one-to-one links between specific bubbles — used for direct associations that cross Zones (e.g., an idea about billing connected to a UI rework).
Yes. The free Mind Space runs fully in your browser with no server dependency. Once Connect Space and AI features launch, those specific features will require a connection — but core thought capture will always work offline.
A mobile-responsive web version is in active development. A dedicated mobile app (iOS and Android), built with React Native and Skia for smooth physics, is on the roadmap after the web experience matures.
Connect Space is in design. We're taking time to get its safety model right before any line of code — location privacy, moderation, age gating, and mental-health-aware response flows. No public date yet; you'll hear first if you're on the mailing list.
Two directions. First, AI that supercharges Mind Space: pattern-finding across your thoughts, weekly summaries, Zone suggestions, idea expansion. Second, literary-persona thinking partners — engage with your ideas the way Plato, Einstein, or Achilles might. All opt-in and paid.
No. Your thoughts are yours. When AI features are added, they'll process your content on demand to help you — not to improve any model. This is non-negotiable for us.
A .mhisper file is an encrypted snapshot of your bubbles, Zones, and Threads. You can save it to your computer, send it to yourself, or back it up in cloud storage. Load it on any device running Mhisper to pick up exactly where you left off.
Yes. Every Mhisper workspace can be exported as a readable .txt or .md file — no lock-in. Your thoughts belong to you, in a format you can read without us.
